Tabitha's Closet, housed in Fairmount Community Center, serves students in the Independence and Fort Osage school districts helping children to have adequate clothing so that they can be prepared for school.
We have an urgent need for volunteers to help with customer service on days we are open.
We need a volunteer to sign in families when they arrive at the clothing closet.
We also need volunteers to help families select underwear and socks, check off items they receive, and bag items.
Additionally volunteers may straighten shelves and help with tidying up when time allows.
While we prefer a four hour shift each week, volunteers can work for shorter amounts of time if needed.
Volunteer shifts are Tuesdays from 10-2. Volunteers who work at least 4 hours will be served a free lunch.
