CISMCC

Communities In Schools of Marietta/Cobb County is looking for caring adults (18+) to help struggling readers open their eyes to the wonderful world of reading and books.

With just one hour per week during school hours you can help improve the reading confidence and motivate our elementary school students to achieve their reading potential.

Training will be provided by CIS staff. Volunteers can choose to help at any of our Marietta City Elementary Schools (Dunleith, Lockheed, Hickory Hills, or Sawyer Road Elementary School). Tutoring sessions will be held on school grounds.

You will be working closely with children so a background check is required.

CISMCC also provides parenting education programs to assist parents in helping their children succeed in school.
