ASI is currently searching for a Human Resources Orientation Specialist to join our remote team! Reporting to the Meta Volunteer of the People Management Team, the Human Resources Orientation Specialist is an integral part in the success of Advance Social Innovation.

This position would be responsible for conducting weekly HR orientation for new volunteers that are onboarded. This is a remote unpaid part time volunteer opportunity that will help build your skills, network, while making an impact! A recommendation letter will be provided after 3 months of successful performance in role. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has a flexible schedule and is open to accommodate various time zones to conduct HR orientation presentation that is already in place.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Check emails frequently from onboarding to schedule HR orientation with HR new hire volunteers.
  • Conduct HR orientation based on HR new hire volunteers schedules and must be willing to accommodate various time zones and conduct multiple orientations if needed.
  • Respond to emails within 24 hrs.
  • Send volunteer waivers and ensure waivers are e-signed before moving candidate forward in onboarding process.
  • Familiarize yourself with organization and presentation in order to address any questions.

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or pursing degree in Human Resources

Qualifications and Skills Preferred

  • Minimum of 5-7 hours volunteer commitment per week.
  • Comfortable conducting HR orientation to a group of new hire volunteers.
  • Onboarding experience preferred.
  • Superb communication skills in a virtual environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Human Resources preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience conducting presentations.
  • High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force for all communication efforts.
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Self-starter, able to work virtually, independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in a startup phase non-profit organization.

Work Location: Work from home office free of distractions and noise. Must have computer and phone line along with Skype and Google Hangouts account.
