ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

  • 14 people are interested

We invite young ladies and gentlemen (ages 12-19) who like to write to join Nu Sigma Theta - an international community service organization and help us with social awareness and random acts of kindness. Our members live in more than 23 states and 6 countries - so everyone is welcomed no matter where they live.

We might need your help writing to students in other countries (to help them with their English writing skills) or to students in the United States who might be struggling with various issues. Right now, we need a handful of students to correspond with students from Turkey, the Ivory Coast, Russia, and "possibly" from France (we are waiting for confirmation from the school).

Being part of Nu Sigma Theta does not require very much from you. Monthly, we email a "Community Service Planner" which lists all of the activities and projects that we have - the majority of which can be done online.

We keep track of the projects that you complete so that we can provide the community service hours to your school if needed. If you refer a friend and they join, you will earn two hours (2) for outreach. This is a really easy way to make your service hours for school, while engaging in small acts of kindness that have a global reach.

We need your help in making Nu Sigma Theta a safe space for anyone who might need it - as well as a force for kindness throughout the world.

To become a member immediately, you can apply at souldeevas.wixsite.com/neos/special-recruitment or email nusigmatheta2015@gmail.com. Please let us know how many pen pals you can handle!

Description

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.

Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation.
