Brief description: Hello. My name is Traci Bonali. I am the secretary of Florida for Prader Willi Syndrome. My son is 10 years old and he has Prader Willi Syndrome. Prader what??? you might be asking...well brief info on PWS is: PWS is genetic. People with PWS have extreme dietary restrictions, all food needs to be locked up for their safety. You can learn more about PWS by visiting: www.pwsausa.org.PWS is life threatening.
Our event: The Florida chapter is having a walk a thon to raise money for PWS. NO ONE within our organization receives pay. All money raised goes toward saving and transforming lives for people with PWS!
When: May 19th, 2018
Where will our event take place: Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. 3401 Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL.
What time is our event: Volunteers arrive at 9:30 am registration begins at 9:30 am the walk begins at 10:00 am.
Volunteers: We are in need of volunteers to assist with registering walkers, monitoring the food for snacks and lunch, along with handing out water for the walkers.
Why volunteer: Be prepared for a great time with lots of laughs and meeting incredible people! The PWS Florida chapter is able to give volunteers hours towards your Bright Future Scholarship. Your lunch will also be provided for helping us make our event successful!
