ORGANIZATION: Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Health Advancement

Do you love food? Grab your apron and join us in teaching children a fun and valuable life skill: cooking!Want to share your passion for cooking and baking with others, especially kids? Marshfield Clinic Youth Net needs you to help lead pre-planned activities for our Cooking Club. Recipes in the past have included apple dippers, recipes in a mug, and many more. Cooking Club is the top club that our participants look forward to and they're always asking what they'll be making next!

Additional Requirements: Youth Net is open Monday-Friday, between 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm, during the school year. Volunteer scheduling is flexible. Must be 13 or older.

Description

Youth Net- Youth Net is a comprehensive afterschool program located in Marshfield, WI. Youth Net serves at-risk youth ages 8-18. Programming is offered five days a week throughout the year with a focus on academic success, personal, social development and healthy active living.
Community Connections Team - Community Connections Team is focused on keeping patients well beyond the medical office. University students and community volunteers connect patients to community resources according to their needs.
Independent and Upright - Independent and Upright empowers older adults to maintain their independence by using trained volunteers to assess the risks for falling in the home through home visits. If key risk factors for falling are identified, volunteers assist in connecting individuals to community resources to improve home safety. The program is available in Lincoln County, WI.
