The Program Volunteer Internship program with the "I Have A Dream" Foundation is an unpaid, volunteer internship. Program Volunteer Interns are expected to commit at least 2 half-days per week at site during the months of June and July (about 6 weeks). Interns will be given a variety of projects and tasks that will vary according to their assigned site, ranging from: leading and facilitating small class activities, one-on-one student assistance, researching and planning field trips, and more! This is a fantastic opportunity for college and high school students who are wanting to gain experience with students, classroom/student management, and nonprofits. We have locations in Longmont, Lafayette, Frederick and Boulder.
How This Helps Our Community

Description
Since 1990, IHDF Boulder County has served more than 1,000 local youth, and currently has 12 active Dreamer Scholar Classes. The model, with its one-on-one attention and daily programming, has proven to narrow the opportunity gap. Dreamer Scholars graduate from high school, enroll in post-secondary programming, and complete their post-secondary education at much higher rates than their low-income peers.
