Camp Kesem at University of Nevada, Las Vegas is looking for a 2 nurses (with AZ licensing) and a Mental Health Professional to join their summer camp team! Our chapter, one of 105 Camp Kesem chapters across the United States, offers a free week-long camp for kids affected by their parent’s cancer. Camp is free to attend, and the camp is planned, managed, and staffed by college student volunteers from University of Nevada, Las Vegas
Camp will be held from July 8th-July 13th at Emmanuel Pines Camp, in Prescott, Arizona
As a nurse, you will be responsible for dispensing daily medication, as instructed by each camper's physician, and for addressing any health emergencies that may come up over the course of the week. You must hold an RN, LPN/LVN, or be a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Arizona, or be willing to obtain a temporary license for that state.
As a mental health professional, you will be responsible for counseling campers and counselors on various issues. Some of these issues are behavioral but others may tie to home situations or bereavement. You must have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, School Counseling, or a related Mental Health field.
All potential candidates will undergo a background check and interview process.

Description
Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by over 4,000 passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.
A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates over 105 free summer camps in 40 states for children ages 6 to 18 who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer.
This camping experience - as well as Kesem’s year-round support services - have a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills.
In 2017, Camp Kesem served over 7,000 children coast-to-coast, all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
