We are seeking both male and female volunteers for our LifeLink Volunteer Program to share time and knowledge to help our youth attain necessary life skills to heal, learn and grow towards a brighter, self- sufficient future. We welcome volunteers with diverse skills for presentations, workshops, and other activities. Here are just a few examples: Career Counseling, College Counseling, Resume Building, Interview Preparation, Budgeting, Cooking/Baking, Yoga, Exercise, Diet and Nutrition, Arts and Crafts, Photography, Make-Up Application, Meditation, Tutoring.
LifeTies is also seeking mentors to provide one-on-one guidance and direction to youth in our TILT Mentoring Program. Mentors build caring, nurturing relationships which helps the youth and young adults in developing positive social relationships, career interests, and achieve educational goals. Mentors must spend 4 hours a month with the youth which can include recreational activities in the community. Qualified volunteers will be carefully screened and need to pass all background checks.
LifeTies will provide a volunteer orientation, training, and staff support necessary to work with the youth and young adults. Volunteers must be of 21 years of age and pass all background checks.
In addition to individual volunteer opportunities, LifeTies also has volunteer opportunities for corporate and community groups. One-day projects such as painting, facility maintenance and landscaping are available. Opportunities to get involved with special projects, such as event committees and holiday gift drives, are also available.
We have regularly scheduled information sessions to learn more about LifeTies history, mission, and programs and our volunteer opportunities. Please contact us for more information or to register for an upcoming information session.
