Chester County OIC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing FREE adult basic literacy education and life skills programs that prepare individuals for employment leading to economic self-sufficiency. In operation since 1979, CCOIC helps over 800 adult learners per year. OIC currently offers 11 different programs, including the flagship Certified Nurse Aid Training Program (CNA, CNAP), which graduated 21 in the April 2017 class (over 300 since inception) and boasts a 90% employment rate upon completion.
-Existing board of 13 members looking to add three positions to support an expanding budget and operations.
-Opportunity to serve on a number of subcommittees, including marketing, event planning, finance, commercial property acquisitions, endowment fund committee, programming, leadership development, and more.
-Seeking candidates with a consultative approach to problem solving and an ability to devote 3-7 hours per week to OIC-related tasks. We meet once a month on the third Thursday of the month at 790 E Market S from 7-9pm, including ad hoc virtual conference calls and meeting for sub-committee work.
