On March 24, 2018 we will be hosting an event called VOICES - Passport to Art, read more about the event below. This volunteer will make a brochure to be used at the event and/or assist creating signs to be used to direct participants at the event.

VOICES - Passport to Art
During the VOICES - Passport to Art, attendees will first visit and learn about resident artists and then starting at 2:30 watch a Fashion Show with garments from Just Creations and Farmer's Daughter Designs original designs and take part in the creation of an original art piece that will be part of a future art display at Mellwood.
This event will bring awareness to the community on how important art is to those less fortunate dealing with poverty, hunger and homelessness.
Attendees will:
- gain an understanding of why art offers hope
- identify why art is important to health and healing
- recognize how art is beneficial in shaping a path to independence for those dealing with poverty.

Mission Statement
The mission of We Survive, Inc. is to improve the lives of impoverished children and their families through providing Day of Hope day camps and other educational opportunities fueled by LIGHTFEST Re-ignited.
Description
LIGHTFEST Re-ignited is a movement to raise awareness and educate communities about the issues the impoverished face and raise funds to sponsor impoverished children so they can attend a Day of Hope* camp and help change lives.
Goals for each Day of Hope are:
- Providing health, financial and wellness education
- Teaching a philosophy that positive attitudes can overcome adversity
- Fostering positive peer and intergenerational connections
- Discovering ways to explore and appreciate nature - nurturance in nature.
