Considering volunteering with hospice but visiting with patients isn't necessarily for you? We are looking for volunteers who can assist in the office! Help is needed with grief support mailings, phone calls, scanning, filing, and other day to day office tasks. Training is provided and no medical background is needed. We are flexible with your hours Monday through Friday during regular office hours. This is a great opportunity not only for stay-at-home, part-time and retired individuals, but also high school and college students needing hours over the summer. Must be at least 14 years old.

Description
Encompass Health is looking for a office and patient volunteers to provide support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
