Flex your leadership skills by becoming an Edenvale Library Test Prep Coach! This free, drop-in tutoring service can provide general ACT or SAT test prep assistance for local teens.
The Edenvale Library is looking for experienced, dedicated adult volunteers to help coordinate this activity. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in supporting education and high school college readiness.
Qualifications
- Age 18+
- Fingerprint clearance by City of San Jose (free)
- High degree of initiative and creativity
- Teaching experience encouraged but not required
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent oral communication and written skills in English
Commitment
- 4 month commitment, 1-2 hours per week.

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
