Housing Forward

We have new opportunities in our new Interim Housing Program! Located in Oak Park, IL, our new facility will house up to 90 clients. We are excited about this new venture that will continue our mission to transition people from a housing crisis to housing stability. We need volunteers who share this same passion and enthusiasm and help our clients as they make this transition.

We are providing Grab-N-Go meals to clients in our interim shelter location. Volunteers are needed to purchase food for Dinner. Food items must be individually wrapped, but does not need to be a 'bagged' complete meal. Food will be laid out for clients to select. Clients do have access to a microwave. Drop off meals should be no later than 4pm.

Please include a well balanced meal. We recommended items that include:

  • Protein
  • Starch
  • Vegetable
  • Grain
  • Chips
  • Juice, milk, sports drinks, water
  • No pork products

Please indicate on the sign up how many meals you are able to provide by updating the 'Number of Volunteers". Each volunteer represents 30 meals. For meal providers, the number of volunteers is not the number of people who are helping to prepare the meals, but an indication of how many meals will be provided. For example, if you (or your group) can provide 30 meals, then Number of Volunteers = 1, if you (or your group) can provide 60 meals, then the Number of Volunteers = 2, etc.

We need up to 60 diners, daily.
