Providence TrinityCare Hospice provides a full range of palliative care, hospice care and compassionate support to our patients and their families throughout Orange County and Los Angeles County. All of our care is provided wherever our patients and their families need us; in the patient's own homes, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and occasionally hospitals. Our services are tailored to each individual, working to provide patients and families with whatever is needed during this time. We are looking for caring individuals who want to offer companionship and support to others in a time of need. There are many opportunities to ease the way of those dealing with terminal illness and offer light and love to them and their families.

As a TrinityCare Hospice volunteer you'll work together with our hospice team to meet the needs of each patient and their family. We serve both pediatric and adult patients. There are many opportunities to share your unique talents and gifts including:

  • Companionship to patients and families: Having visitors can be very uplifting to those feeling alone and overwhelmed. Our volunteers offer friendship, emotional support, conversation, reading, and a positive presence.

  • Running errands or providing transportation: some patients no longer have the strength or ability to get to the store for groceries or to pick up medication. Volunteers are there to help with this task and run errands for the patient and family, or if appropriate take the patient to the grocery store with them so they can have some time out of the house.

  • Legacy Art projects: we offer art projects and activities to patients and families and any young children in the home to help create a lasting legacy gift for the family.

  • Many other light activities with the patient such as gardening, scrapbooking, playing music, life review, sharing stories, helping make a light meal, and more.

Orientation & training is provided. You can volunteer close to your home as we serve patients in homes across Orange County and Los Angeles County.
