Sunodía Prayer Counseling is a Christ-centered, non-denominational ministry that is dedicated to rebuilding people, nurturing broken and wounded spirits, and training strong disciples. We offer programs that are designed to enrich the believer’s walk with the Lord, such as prayer counseling and courses centered on healing and discipleship.

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide general support for ministry activities, and to assist the Director in managing counseling appointments with clients. To learn more about us and our work, please visit .


  • Board of Directors
    • Handle documents needed for board meetings, etc
    • Interface with new board members to bring them up to speed
  • Counseling Clients
    • Manage appointments and interact with clients
    • Manage mailing list and ministry contact list
    • Receive and record client payments (involves use of Quickbooks)
  • On-site office duties
    • Filing
    • Manage supplies for all activities
    • Manage inventory of books, CDs, and DVDs
    • Light clean-up around the office
  • General
    • Manage Google Drive / G Suite apps
    • Keep updated (e.g. add new Board members, upload financials, etc.)
    • Manage volunteer postings through HandsOn
    • Alongside marketing coordinator, assist in managing outside communications/correspondence and updating the website
    • Alongside finance manager, assist in sending year-end giving statements to donors
    • Alongside training coordinator, assist in managing student database and ensuring all entries are accurate
    • Assist at certain events as needed


  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in the use of social media
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks helpful but not necessary
  • Knowledge of WordPress helpful but not necessary


  • Ability to learn new applications and software as needed
  • Willingness to own projects and carry them to completion with minimal oversight
  • Flexibility and adaptability

Job Details and Schedule:

The Administrative Assistant will report to Sunodia’s Director. This position requires 20 hours a week and 1-year minimum commitment. It will be required that the subcontractor interface onsite in our office in Richmond and that the subcontractor and Sunodia will work out a mutually agreeable schedule wherein he/she attends all staff meetings and provides clear communication on his/her schedule.

Compensation: $15/hour
