Get to know your city and your park by becoming a volunteer at the Boston Harbor Islands. Work side-by-side with rangers to welcome visitors to the Boston Harbor Islands assist them in their journey to exploring the park. Help visitors plan their trip on the park ferry and keep informed about upcoming programs and events in the Harbor.
Become a volunteer on Georges or Spectacle Island to welcome visitors off the ferry and provide written or oral direction for the island. Self motivated individuals who are interested in the history and operations of the Boston Harbor Islands are encouraged to apply!

The Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park is a dynamic natural and cultural wonder with a diversity of experiences for volunteers and visitors alike. Volunteers have a very important role in helping to preserve and protect the islands' natural, cultural, historic and recreational resources, as well as to enhance visitor experiences on the islands. Whether you are looking to volunteer on a regular basis, plan a group volunteer event, or help out at a single day event or special program, there is a volunteer opportunity for you!
