Grace Hospice is seeking volunteers for the Hays County area. If you have a heart for hospice and would like to make friendly visits with hospice patients, this might be the volunteer opportunity for YOU!
Volunteer duties may include just talking with a patient, playing cards, watching a movie, light house work, dog walking, sitting at the bedside, playing music, listening to patient reminiscing or various other easy activities.

Description
Hospice Volunteers provide companionship to our patients and their families. They may visit with patients, read, sing or watch movies with patients. Hospice volunteers find it personally gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Many of our volunteers are introduced to hospice thorough the death of a family member and understand firsthand the value of hospice care, but nearly 20% of volunteers are new to hospice. Volunteers consistently report that helping the terminally ill through hospice is not about dying but about living.
