Sisu Youth offers drop in services to homeless youth. Saturdays and Wednesdays from 11am-2pm.
Sisu Youth operates an overnight shelter multiple days a week from 5pm-8am.

Homeless youth come to the hub during open hours to access laundry services, shower, eat a hot meal, and have access to our clothing closet. Volunteers oversee youth and work in the clothing closet. Youth have access to the clothing closet on an individual basis. Volunteers interact with youth providing positive guidance, resources, and teaching life skills.

Four nights a week youth stay overnight in the shelter. Youth are provided dinner, showers, laundry access, access to resources, case management, and opportunities to relax in a safe environment. Youth are provided beds and individual space. This allows homeless youth a connection with caring adults and a safe place to sleep. Adults act as mentors and connect youth with existing resources while ensuring the dorm stays clean and orderly.

All Volunteers must be 21 years of age and pass an OSBI background check. An OSBI background check costs $19.

-Clothing Closet Volunteer (running the actual closet) Working with youth during hub times ensuring youth have access to needed items and the closet remains organized and clean. You will work directly with youth helping pick out needed clothing and toiletries.

- Clothing Closet (accepting and processing donations) - Volunteering to accept and process donations for the clothing closet.

-Meal Service (Provide meals for hub days) Each day a meal for 30 teens is needed to ensure our homeless youth have access to a hot meal. Hub days serve lunch at 12:00pm.

-Clean the dorms. Volunteers are always needed to clean the dorm after youth have left for the day. Volunteers will do laundry, clean dorm and bathroom, organize towels, sheets, dishes, etc. for next day.

-Overnight volunteer (staying with youth at the shelter during scheduled shift hours 5pm-8am). Volunteers work in shifts to ensure multiple caring adults are available during shelter hours. The dorms open at 5pm and kids leave for the day by 8am. Volunteers work in various numbers of shifts including; number of hours, days, and shifts per month. A minimum of two volunteers per evening at all times ensures the youth are well cared for and have available resources.

-Outreach/Fundraising (Educating the public about Sisu, our youth, and helping raise funds to continue our mission). Includes speaking at public events, organizing events, attending public fairs and festivals to continue the mission and reach of Sisu.
