Sisu Youth offers drop in services to homeless youth. Saturdays and Wednesdays from 11am-2pm.
Sisu Youth operates an overnight shelter multiple days a week from 5pm-8am.
Homeless youth come to the hub during open hours to access laundry services, shower, eat a hot meal, and have access to our clothing closet. Volunteers oversee youth and work in the clothing closet. Youth have access to the clothing closet on an individual basis. Volunteers interact with youth providing positive guidance, resources, and teaching life skills.
Four nights a week youth stay overnight in the shelter. Youth are provided dinner, showers, laundry access, access to resources, case management, and opportunities to relax in a safe environment. Youth are provided beds and individual space. This allows homeless youth a connection with caring adults and a safe place to sleep. Adults act as mentors and connect youth with existing resources while ensuring the dorm stays clean and orderly.
All Volunteers must be 21 years of age and pass an OSBI background check. An OSBI background check costs $19.
