The Safety & Security Committee is comprised of employees from throughout Pacific Science Center and exists to make Pacific Science Center a safe place to work and visit. The Safety Assistant works on behalf of this committee to monitor and stock first aid kits throughout the Science Center and put in orders for the kit supplies. There are over twenty first aid kits throughout Pacific Science Center. The main function of the position is to ensure the first aid kits are adequately stocked with appropriate supplies. The scope of the position is ongoing and would require one shift per week. Hours are flexible. In addition, ideally the Safety Assistant could attend the monthly Committee meetings and work on projects throughout the month to help the Committee. The schedule is one 3-4 hour shift each week with at least a 6-month commitment.
