ORGANIZATION: St Anne's Episcopal Church

I am or mostly retired people to volunteer 2nd & 3rd Friday, from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM, in our Pet Food Pantry. Here is a little history about Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry;
John and I am the Founder & Volunteer Coordinator for Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry, a ministry of St Anne's Episcopal Church for low income people who cannot afford dog or cat food. We first started Fuzzy Friends as a committee in 2008, helping raise money and donations for our local rescue centers. We started Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry in 2017. I have learned people with low incomes typically surrender their animal when they cannot afford dog or cat food and unfortunately their pets are surrendered to the animal shelter where many end up being euthanized. We came up with Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry because we want to prevent people from having to surrender their pets because they cannot afford to feed them. Fuzzy Friends Pet Food Pantry currently serves 70 people a month and we expect that number will increase. We only offer assistance to help our clients in need and it is not our mission to take over the responsibility of providing owners with pet food for their dog or cat. This is a free program for pet owners who cannot afford dog and cat food. All owners are required to bring ID and proof of needing assistance, such as, Medicaid, Medicare. Food Stamps or WIC. We are not a human food pantry; we are only a Pet Food pantry. We are need in dry dog food, cat food and cat litter, and we are currently raising money for pet food because the volume of people in need is very high.
