Volunteer Opportunity:

Harrison Classic Kids Run - October 13th 2019
Not racing but love to be part of the action? The YMCA would not be able to host this event without the help of great volunteers like you! Help is needed both on and off the course.

This 1 mile kids run has always had a youthful and fun atmosphere. It so awesome to see thousands of kids running down Harrison Boulevard trying to run their little hearts out. The fall leaves and sunshine make this run such a special way to kick off the fall! Although this 1 mile stretch of Harrison Blvd is closed down we are still in need of plenty of volunteers.

We are looking for volunteers to help in various areas. These areas include:

Packet Pickup (8 volunteers needed) October 11th and October 14th

-Helping participants receive their bibs and packets.

T-Shirt Tent (6 volunteers needed)

-Distributing racer t-shirts after they have picked up their packets

Late Packet Pickup (8 volunteers needed)

-Helping participants receive their bibs and packets at late packet pickup

Starting Line Set up (10 Volunteers needed)

-Setting up flagging, banners, tents, scaffolding in the race area.

Finish Line Water Distribution (5 volunteers needed)

-Handing water to all the amazing finishers that just ran their hearts out!

Course Cheer Boosters (15 volunteers needed)

-Cheering on and making sure all runners know where they are going and to assist in course monitoring.

Refuel Station (4 Volunteers needed)

-There will be chocolate milk, water, and cheese stick for the kids to refuel. Be there to hand them some fuel to replenish their tired muscles.

Post-Race Take Down (8 volunteers needed)

-Taking down race equipment, course material and cleaning up race area
