The Ensemble at The Seeing Place
Our team is excited to meet you!

We’re a 10 year old independent theater in NYC who recently got our 501c3 status. We’re looking to build our board and are seeking a business professional with board experience to become our Board Chair, after the retirement of our last chair. We currently have a board of 5 people - we have 4 officers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and one Member At Large.

Our name "The Seeing Place" is the literal translation of the Greek word for theater: " theatron...the place where we go to see ourselves." The Seeing Place is a trained, actor-driven ensemble and our mission is to create master theater, reinterpreted live, to make it relevant and accessible to audiences today. We live up to our name by engaging our community through theater as a vivid conversation about what makes us human. Connection. Learning. Humanity. That’s what theatron is all about.

Being a member of our board, you will be part of an exciting time in our history where we're actively taking our company to the next level. We have strong support from our community and excellent organization with our all-volunteer staff and ensemble. The right candidate will be full of passion and longs to be a part of theater that makes a difference. Check us out online at www.seeingplacetheater.com and on social media @TheSeeingPlace.

Thank you so much for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you!
