Global Orphan Prevention seeks a Denver-based intern who will help with events planning and volunteer coordination for our events and fundraisers.
You will be assisting our events chairperson and working closely with our events partner Kevin Larson Presents, Denver's largest events production company, to help market and plan events, while coordinating volunteers to staff the events. Gain valuable experience from a veteran 25 years in the business.

Requirements:
Majoring in or desire to work in one or more of the following areas: Events Planning, Events Management, Project Management, Leadership, Enterpruership, Staff Coordination, Marketing, Promotions, Public Relations, Communications
Duties Include:
- Use updated contacts lists to market upcoming events in person, through press and online
- Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets of events, including facilities, contacts, marketing, and the effect of each on overall outcome
- Archive all current and former events information
- Coordinate volunteer efforts for each event, including designating duties and following up on accountability for each committed volunteer
- Work with volunteers to get interested and participants for specific events, including direct contact via phone, email and in person
- Aid in events training for volunteers
- Devote ~3 hours/week towards internship
A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Experience and/or knowledge of a nonprofit environment
- Upper-level college student or graduate level education
- Exceptional, professional and detail-oriented organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge of social media tools and computer literacy, including a strong understanding of Excel
- Professional email etiquette and work habits
- Passion for Global Orphan Prevention mission
- Flexible schedule
- Being self-managed and ability to work unsupervised

Compass Rose International uplifts young women to navigate unique challenges like child trafficking and mental health, providing tools for resilience, confidence, and independence.
Description
We help young women in both Nepal and Colorado.
- In Nepal, our INpowerment Center & Dormitory in Ghyangphedi houses 40 full time residents, age 10-17, and is located in the #1 child trafficking district of the country. We provide them equal access to education, as well as self-development and real-life business skills.
- In Colorado, our retreats and school programs help teen women find their internal wisdom, and source their power from within.
