AgeWell Visits - Friends spending time together!
Sam enjoys visits with Maya and her parents and brother.

AgeWell Visits is a friendly home visitor program where kind volunteers spend time with older adults in their own homes, helping to promote socialization and communication - and foster friendships which help keep the senior connected to the community. Visits last approximately one hour and occur once a month (or more often if both parties choose!)

Are you looking to volunteer with seniors, on a flexible schedule, to spend an hour talking, listening and just enjoying time together? Hosts are located in Squirrel Hill, Oakland, Shadyside, Greenfield. If you live in one of these areas and want to visit with a local senior - this might be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

Volunteer Visitors can be adults of all ages, as well as families with children, or teens visiting as part of a community related project. Bar and Bat Mitzvah students working on social action projects also welcomed.
Visitors and Hosts can engage in a variety of activities including playing board games, doing crafts together, reading the mail or newspaper to older adults with reduced vision, organizing photo albums, watering plants - anything that both parties enjoy doing together.
