GoodDogz.org is looking for great volunteers to help out at the annual Pet Fiesta at the Reston Town Center on Saturday, May 5th.
The Pet Fiesta is a fun, outdoor event which hosts 100+ animal rescues and pet retailers. The day also hosts live entertainment, face painters, a dog fashion show, pet contests and more.
We need several volunteers to help with various tasks throughout the day like:
- Registering dog walkers
- Acting as dog walk marshals
- Keeping doggie water bowls filled
- Assisting vendors with various tasks
- Working in the information booth
- Handing out goodie bags
- Much more!
Several shifts are available. Please let us know your availability! Hope to see you there!

GoodDogz.org is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating potential dog owners on dog selection and care and supporting the efforts of rescue groups. We believe that by assisting with good dog-owner matches, we'll give each family the best opportunity for a life-long relationship with their new dog and help to keep dogs out of shelters.
Description
Gooddogz.org is a non-profit organization that provides educational resources regarding dog ownership and selection. Our ultimate goal is to keep dogs in loving homes and out of shelters which is why our motto is to choose wisely, choose for life. We offer education courses about dog ownership and how to choose the right dog as well as obedience training for dog owners. We also offer a children's program to help children learn the responsibilities of dog ownership and how to properly care for a dog. Gooddogz.org also provides guidance to rescue organizations and offers workshops on behavior evaluations of shelter dogs, foster parenting and home selection. In an effort to bring all of the efforts together we participate in community events and host super pet adoption fairs.
