Seeking REST Trainers in the following NY counties: Broome, Cayuga, Seneca and Ontario.
Become a trainer for the New York State Caregiving and Respite Coalition! The New York State Caregiving and Respite Coalition (NYSCRC) is a partnership of dedicated organizations and individuals committed to supporting the millions of informal caregivers throughout the state. The coalition and its members are passionate about helping connect caregivers with the information, training and support services critical to successfully caring for a loved one at home. NYSCRC members are committed to addressing the current and future needs of those engaged in family caregiving across the lifespan.
By participating in this two day train the trainer program, you will be able to support caregivers in your community by expanding respite opportunities, building confidence in current volunteers and facilitating new drop in programs in cooperation with local agencies, neighborhoods and faith based communities.

This evidence-informed training is a perfect fit for someone who is comfortable leading a classroom experience including; sharing personal experiences, facilitating and debriefing hands-on activities and managing technology such as PowerPoint.
This train the trainer opportunity is typically a $595 fee per person not including travel (or lodging if needed). Scholarship funding may be available to cover part of all of participation. Registration for this session of REST Train the Trainer will close on March 14, 2018. Future offerings will be held in or near the following counties: Cayuga, Seneca and Ontario. AmeriCorps Seniors recruits and places volunteers over age 55 in activities that address critical community needs, eg. education, homeless, safety and security, health education, disaster preparedness,nutrition, hospice, health and wellness, and providing a better quality of life for others.
