On Saturday, April 28th, Pullen Park will be turned into the imaginary place Letterland, home to all the letters of the alphabet. Going into it's 5th year at the park, Letterland has become a popular annual event for the youth of the community.

Volunteer Duties:Throughout the event, there will be different activity stations represented by letters of the alphabet. As a volunteer, it will be your job to stay in character, engage the children and facilitate the activities in the area you are assigned to.

We are also specifically looking for 3 individuals per shift that would be willing to play the part of our costumed characters and interact with the children, pose for photo ops and get a smile out of our guests. This a a great chance to bring out the inner mascot in you! You will be working with staff.

Shifts:

1st shift - 9:30 am - 1:15 pm
2nd shift - 12:45 pm - 4:15 pm

Work Environment: This event will be outside in the park so please dress appropriately for the weather. There will be quit a bit of activity and the possibility of noise from the excited children. There will be a restroom on site.

Volunteer Requirements: You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer. Volunteers under the age of 15, must have a parent or guardian volunteer alongside of them. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer release form (for volunteers under the age of 18 a parent/guardian will need to sign the volunteer form). This will be sent to you prior to the event.

Group Registration Information: Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. All volunteers must register as individuals, but if you are a part of a group, please list the group in the "Registration Notes" when signing up.
