We are looking for caring individuals or groups who have the time and talent to quilt, crochet, or knit handmade quilts or blankets. These precious gifts will be given out to adult hospital patients, families, and loved ones in need. Whether it be to simply add a bit of comfort or to aid in the grieving process of a loved one, these are always a meaningful and greatly used gift in our Level 1 trauma hospital. We are in constant need of these compassionate gifts.
We are also in need of soft yarn or cotton fabric to give to those individuals who would like to create these gifts, but do not have materials to do so. There are also other sewing projects we have for the benefit of our hospital patients.
All donations of blankets, quilts, and materials will be kindly accepted through the Volunteer Services office at Emanuel Hospital (2801 N. Gantenbein Ave. Portland, OR 97227). We are a non-profit medical facility and will gladly give an in-kind donation receipt for all donations.
