Mission Purpose/Statement:
Orange County's Tierney Center for Veteran Services is a holistic approach to serving veterans and their families. We serve all veterans in Orange County, Including military personnel and their families at no cost.
Organization Description:
Orange County's Tierney Center for Veteran Services helps veterans, military Personnel, and their families to identify and address their barriers. Some of those include employment and career counseling, education services, housing assistance, health care and benefits, legal services, and financial Counselling. The Tierney Center help assist veterans with their benefits through one-on-one help or referrals.
Job Title: Veteran Outreach Intern
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in Community Integration Efforts
- Help Find and Engage with Orange County Veterans
- Assist The TCVS Staff with Peer Navigation
- Organize and participate in Veteran activities and Events
- Support communication between resources and veterans for better services
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Pass Background Check
- Motivated and takes initiative
- PC Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and Publisher
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills
