Do you want to do something different this spring break? Do you want to give back to a community organization?
Make a difference at Park Heights Community Health Alliance as a volunteer.
The Park Heights Community Health Alliance Urban Oasis Program promotes sustainability and consumer benefits of the local food movement in the Park Heights area. It includes the AFYA Community Garden and other sites where we grow seasonal vegetables.
We need individuals to help with our vegetable garden sites. Duties could include weeding, mulching, community beautification, maintenance. No previous experience necessary.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to collaborate in the improvement of the health of Baltimore's Park Heights community through wellness initiatives, health education, environmentalism, and service.
Description
The Park Heights Community Health Alliance (PHCHA) was organized in 1996, in a partnership between Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and a handful of concerned Park Heights community residents. The Park Heights community is disproportionately affected by a variety of negative health status indicators. In collaboration with community partners such as Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Park West Medical Systems, and a host of others, we seek to have a positive impact on the community at large.
PHCHA is committed to improving access to primary care for residents of Baltimore City. PHCHA's goal is to help maximize the Park Heights community's potential as a healthy, safe, and vital neighborhood.
