Do you have reliable transportation? Are you looking for a way to help those in your community? If so, we need you!
Due to a lack of transportation, homebound elderly often have difficulty picking up their prescriptions, which can cause serious health and medical issues. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is in need of volunteers like you with reliable transportation to pick up prescribed medications and deliver them to homebound elderly adults or people with disabilities.
All volunteers are required to complete a background check, attend orientation, and complete online trainings.
For more information, please reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator in your area. http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/volunteer/local.asp#one
