ROLE TITLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The chapter city President is an expert event planner with attention to detail. The chapter president, along with a committee of their peers, is responsible to implement 3 successful live events over the course of one year to bring funny women together in order to empower, connect, and advocate for them.

GENERAL OVERVIEW


  • Responsible for creating a cohesive, dedicated team of volunteers by team building and inspiration to carry out the mission of the organization.
  • Responsible for being a representative and front facing role of the organization and its mission in your city
  • Responsible for overall logistics needs for your city and overseeing successful completion of events by a committee of peers
  • Responsible for following timelines given by national headquarters
  • Responsible for maintaining an accountable committee of passionate volunteers
  • Responsible for filling in and/or delegating tasks that have not been completed to ensure success
  • Responsible for attending and running weekly in person meetings with committee
  • Responsible for being the "tie breaker"/making final decisions when a consensus cannot be reached amongst the local committee
  • Delegates as needed
  • Helps recruit replacement volunteers for the next year’s committee
  • Helps identify potential partnerships/sponsors/funds that can aid in the progress of our mission.
  • Responsible to ensure proper filing of donation forms and annual reports

TIME COMMITMENTS & SCHEDULE

This volunteer role consistently contributes 10 hrs per week of volunteer time. This number of hours may fluctuate and be higher the week prior to the live event.

  • 2 hrs per week "in person" weekly meetings with your committee
  • 1-2 hrs per week weekly national virtual calls
  • 2-6 hrs per week independently completing tasks within required deadlines
