App to Succeed, Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that aims to eliminate poverty in the United States and narrow the income gap by providing best-in-class, comprehensive information on personal finance and other relevant topics for at-risk Americans to enable them to become and remain financially self- sufficient and successful.
One hundred percent of our organization is run by virtual volunteers and over the years have had over 150 virtual volunteers in staff and leadership positions. Your responsibilities will include;
-Working with the CEO to identify our volunteer needs and the skills that are required for each position
-Recruiting qualified volunteers for the position and arranging interviews
-All correspondence with the volunteers until they are on boarded and actively engaged in an assignment.
-Making a plan for let the volunteer know they are appreciated and implement the plan.
-Sending volunteers mid-internship surveys, reviewing the results and address anything that needs changing.
-Updating the volunteer page on the website.
-Distributing final assessments of the volunteers' experiences to each volunteer as they reach the end of their volunteer period. Volunteer experience, informing the CEO of anything reported that is unexpected and respond accordingly.
-Planning for seamless transitions so a new volunteer is ready to take over when the volunteer they are replacing departs.
-Maintaining a current and accurate volunteer spreadsheet.
-Keeping orderly records on each volunteer.
-Ensure that App to Succeed, Inc. provides the opportunity for the volunteer to fulfill their volunteer objectives.
This is excellent experience to prepare and qualify you, for a paid Volunteer Coordinator position or for a career in Human Resources.
As a young nonprofit, we cannot yet pay our interns, but we can offer other forms of compensation.
-If you deliver an exceptional result, exceeding expectations, you will receive a letter of reference, written and signed by the CEO, plus:
-if you fulfill your commitment to the project, your name will be acknowledged on the Volunteer page of the organization’s website and acknowledged in the trailer of the program when it is published.
You may work any day, or time for any duration to fit your schedule
You may work remotely, saving you the time and expense of commuting.
-Represent the organization in a competent and professional manner on the phone and in all written communication.
-Ensure that your work is accurate.
-Be organized and keep the process and records current.
-Use Microsoft Office skills proficiently, especially Word and Excel .
Prefer candidates who can:
-Volunteer more than 6 months.
-Volunteer 10+ hours per week or are willing to split the position with another volunteer.
