Are you looking for a rewarding way to make a difference?
Only veterans can relate to other veterans in a way society will never truly understand.
Aurora at Home is seeking veteran volunteers. Duties include:

• Visiting hospice patients in their own homes, in and around the area.
• Reading, holding a hand, chatting/reminisce, playing games or just watching TV with the patient, anything a good neighbor might do!! Volunteers do not transport or do personal cares.
• Volunteers are needed weekly depending on patient need for a couple of hours each visit. The commitment is not time consuming; services are not always needed every week.
• Training is provided. No nursing experience needed.

Volunteers visit with patients at least once a week, for 1-2 hours at time. We will train you to be the best Hospice Companion Volunteer and to provide our patients with loving care, comfort and dignity in their final days. We provide flexible online training and work around and can accommodate any schedule.

Safety is our #1 priority, so a background check and health history will need to be completed. All Aurora employees, including volunteers, are required to be vaccinated (COVID & Flu)
