Do you enjoy spending time with adults who are elderly or have disabilities? Are you friendly and kind? Do you want to make a difference in someone's life? Join us today as a Companion volunteer!
Often times the elderly or individuals with disabilities are homebound and live alone. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is looking for volunteers like you to visit with adults who are elderly, or who have disabilities, to provide companionship and a helping hand. You may visit people in their home, in a skilled nursing facility, or in the hospital.
This is a great opportunity for retired medical professionals, first responders, teachers, or anyone who loves spending time with people.
All volunteers are required to complete a background check, attend orientation, and complete online trainings.
For more information, please reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator in your area.
