Montgomery County Historical Society in Historic Rockville, MD is looking for Weekend Event Coordinators who can go to County Festivals/Events and man tables with information about the organization, educate the public on historic typewriters and other antique items, and obtain emails. Public speaking and education skills preferred. Marketing and communication background preferred. Must be able to lift/carry up to 15 lbs and have transportation/car. Involves one weekend day a month. Training provided. Email lriese@montgomeryhistory.org.

The Montgomery County Historical Society ( MCHS) is dedicated to encouraging the County's residents and the public at large to discover their common heritage. Description
The Montgomery County Historical Society (MCHS) strives to highlight the role of history as a vital part of the cultural and social fabric of Montgomery County. Montgomery County has experienced significant growth in the past sixty five years and the Montgomery County Historical Society has grown as well. Since its founding in 1944, MCHS has moved from an all volunteer organization to one boasting over 1,400 members, a professional staff and hundreds of supportive and dedicated volunteers.
