At Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue our mission is to rescue and re-home all breeds of homeless, abandoned, neglected, and otherwise unwanted companion animals through a foster-based volunteer network * Help reduce the overpopulation of companion animals through spay and neuter efforts * Provide education and support to the general public on proper companion animal ownership.

Wags is currently seeking volunteers to assist with transports of animals from our shelter partners. We will need one transport coordinator and a few team members to assist the coordinator.

Transport Coordinator

Duties Include:

• Communicate with foster coordinators/Director of Operations to learn of upcoming transport dates
• Oversee all incoming transports
• Follow the run the day of the transport and communicates updates to team/fosters
• Communicates with the transport team to assign someone to meet transport
• Send vet records to vetting email after transport - or ask a transport team member to do
• Arrange for additional volunteers to attend and help at larger transports
• Rent van if transport is a Wags run

Transport Team Member

Duties Include:

• Manage assigned transport
• Communicate with fosters about the transport date and to gather supply lists
• Manage expectations of driver and co-pilot if applicable
• Pick up van, prepare kennels, return van and kennels if applicable
• Gather supplies for each foster by connecting with a supply house
• Microchip animal if needed or arrange for a volunteer to be there to chip
