We are a transitional shelter for homeless families with children, and our mission is to empower and help them become independent and self-sufficient. We want our families to save as much money as possible during the time they stay in Thomas House; therefore, we provide weekly groceries to each of our 16 families that are distributed every Monday.
For our food pantry we have two positoins and times available; you may choose one or both.
1. We need volunteers to bag their groceries according to what they requested. This is done Monday's from 12pm-2pm.
2. If you choose this second option you will be able to meet some of our residents when they pick up their food for the week knowing that they won't have to worry about purchasing food for the week. This position is for Monday's from 4:30pm-7:30pm, but we are flexible.
If you would like to volunteer more hours, you're more than welcome to do so! We love having eager volunteers assisting us with food, donations, or organizing the children's room :)
