Coffee Break Tours are on-site walking tours and a great first step toward volunteering! Unlike Hab-i-tours, Coffee Break Tours do not include a bus tour of our construction site. Guests are greeted at Habitat’s administrative offices with coffee and tacos, a Habitat overview and fun ways to you can get involved as a volunteer or house sponsor. A walking tour of the Habitat’s Home Center store, model home and training house will follow.

NOTE: Hab-i-tours and Coffee Break Tours are a fit for anyone interested in learning more about how to become a volunteer, donor or sponsor. Those wishing to become a Habitat homeowner should contact Family Services to arrange a private tour.

Description
Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio was the first U.S. partner affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are proud to say we built the first Habitat home in the United States have continued to build over the past 42 years for a total of 1,063 homes built in Bexar County!
Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio works with low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a house. We partner with families in need and help them build affordable houses for themselves at no interest and no profit. We are not a charity or a "hand out" program, but rather we help families help themselves.
in 2018, we plan to build 50 houses for San Antonio families in need. We can't do this alone- over 13,500+ volunteers will partner in construction with us this year to showcase the true meaning of community and compassion.
Habitat builds more than homes, we build stronger, safer, healthier communities right here in San Antonio!
