CultredKids is seeking a Social Media and Communication Intern to commit a minimum of 4 hours per week. As our intern, you would be responsible for assisting the Communications team by managing and executing the following:

  • Work with the Communications team to identify opportunities and execute social media strategy through competitive research, messaging, audience acquisition and social listening
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase brand visibility
  • Moderate all user-generated content
  • Create editorial calendars schedules
  • Develop and execute special projects related to social media
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then offering suggestions to optimize
Requirements
  • Previous experience in social media marketing for business
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability

Description

We design programs and curricula to help educators and education leaders unify their culturally complex classrooms and schools. We use literature and art as anchors for supporting the development of the social & emotional competencies needed for successful global citizenship. Our work will explore themes related to identity, empathy, and an increased sense of belonging.

We are currently working with one of the largest school districts in the U.S.: Fairfax County. We would like to expand our work to ten schools in Fairfax County over the next three years.

We have an eight-member board of directors and a small team of volunteers who are all committed to supporting this cause. We are a diverse and growing team.
