Holistic Riding Equestrian Therapy

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 19 people are interested

Holistic Riding Equestrian Therapy (HRET) is an equine assisted therapy program designed to improve the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social aspects of the lives of children & adults with special needs as well as veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). HRET offers a variety of skill appropriate classes meeting the needs of preschoolers on our ponies to independent riders on our program safe horses.

We need volunteers who will act as a sidewalker, lead the horse, or help with morning farm experience classes. This is a rewarding experience for everyone involved and we all work as a team. Please consider joining our organization as the more volunteers we have, the more riders we can teach! We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit that is 99% volunteer run. You do not need experience with horses to volunteer!

We have evening riding classes and we have morning group classes. Morning classes consist of both riding and a "farm experience" portion. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact hretvolunteer@gmail.com. Feel free to check out our website at www.holisticridingtherapy.org or our Facebook page: Holistic Riding Equestrian Team.

Our next Volunteer Orientation Training for all new volunteers is being held on:

Sunday November 4th at 1:00 PM with a possible date on November 1st at 5PM.
Please let us know your availability for both to reserve your spot @hretvolunteer@gmail.com
