Special Olympics Maryland is seeking volunteers for their MEDICAL TEAM
Description: The Special Olympics Maryland Medical Team provides required medical response coverage at events and competitions throughout the year. Medical Team members select the events and locations that work for their schedule; typically events are on Saturdays and Sundays.
Special Olympics Maryland holds events throughout the state, so individuals in all parts of Maryland are welcome to sign up.
Typically, Medical Team Volunteers respond to common, sports-based injuries, provide treatment, and assess whether more critical care is needed.
All Medical Volunteers must be a Certified Athletic Trainer, EMT-B, RN, or MD/DO
Must submit a Volunteer Application & Pass Background Check
Medical Volunteers are covered under SOMD Liability Insurance.
Fully stocked medical bags are provided at each event.
