Members of the Delaware County soccer team

Special Olympics Delaware County needs coaches and management team members.

  • Athlete training is generally offered once a week with some weekend competitions. Coaches are needed for: soccer, long distance running, volleyball, bowling, bocce, swimming, tennis, golf, basketball and flag football.

  • Management team members are needed to handle database input, public relations, fundraising, training coordinator, volunteer coordinator, website design and input, organize competitions, mentor athletes and help with facility arrangements.

Description

Special Olympics Delco needs volunteers on the playing field, coaching sports, to management team members doing organizational work.
We need committed volunteers to serve on the management team in various capacities from public relations and fundraising to database coordination and website design.
We also need coaches and volunteers to work with athletes in a wide variety of sports from swimming and golf to basketball and tennis.
The rewards are endless. Knowledge of sports is not necessary.
