Sand Creek in south Antioch is at serious risk of being developed into 1,300 new houses. If approved, this massive development would destroy the natural qualities of the area and lead to even more sprawl development. Luckily, Antioch Community to Save Sand Creek has submitted a voter initiative that would zone the area in ways that preserve its natural qualities, scenic views, and habitat. You can help by collecting signatures of Antioch registered voters outside of local stores to qualify the initiative for the ballot! Collecting will occur on weekends in Antioch throughout March, April, and May. No prior experience is needed and training will be provided.
