Seeking an opportunity for your Employee Volunteer Team, Fraternity/Sorority, Church, Garden Club to pull together to help make a difference in the lives of Polk's children?

  • Florida Sheriff's Youth Villa (501c3) is in need of volunteer groups to choose one or more projects listed below and to have it completed by 03/31/2018.
  • AGE: Volunteer groups ranging in ages 16 through adult.
  • Opportunities: ( both, Indoor and outdoor project choices - choose as few or as many as you like)
  • Painting inside cottage
  • Painting outside cottage
  • Pressure washing fence
  • Pressure wash buildings
  • Landscaping - planting flowers, trimming hedges, laying mulch, etc.
  • Paint barn fence
  • Move & secure boat dock
Volunteers working outdoors should have dexterity and tolerance for lifting, digging, bending, and reaching. Dress for working outdoors and yet appropriate to be around children/public - hats/sunglasses, work gloves, may want to bring a tool box, shovels or post diggers. The facility will probably have some of these items as well.

Volunteers are needed on any day between now and before 3/31/2018.
