We're on the move and we want you to join us!
We're looking for an AP style editor for our blog that is reaching thousands of people every month. Our topics range from general mental health information, veterans' mental health topics, general wellness, and apolitical commentary on current events/news/legislation from around the country that relates to mental health and our specific mission.
If you have 2-4 hours a week to read and edit content that makes a difference, want to volunteer for an organization with a passion to serve and make a positive impact, then we are looking for you to join our growing family of amazing people!

Mission Statement
We exist to educate others that "mental illness" doesn't mean "crazy."
Description
At the Bars Family Foundation, our goal is to make a lasting, positive impact in peoples' lives and our communities. We focus on people living with mental illness, especially our returning veterans, to ensure that they receive much-needed care and are not discriminated against because of the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
We also help drive the changes necessary to ensure that those affected by the stigma of mental illness have access to the resources and care they need while educating the public that "mental illness" doesn't mean "crazy." This we accomplish through organizing and energizing our communities to action through advocacy, service, and fundraising, thus enabling our friends and neighbors to be educated, informative, and impactful.
