Mission Statement
The mission of the Vintage Flying Museum is to promote the spirit and history of aviation through preservation, restoration, education and demonstration. Objectives: 1. Preserve, restore and maintain flying and static vintage aircraft. 2. Establish hangar facilities for aircraft protection and display. 3. Establish displays of memorabilia associated with aviation history. 4. Create a museum which will be a tribute to men and women in aviation. 5. Provide educational tours and lectures.
Description
We are an all volunteer organization. The museum maintains a memorabilia and artifact display and provides hangar facilities for other non-profit organizations that restore and maintain vintage flying aircraft. Non-profits currently based at the museum include the Commemorative Air Force and Greatest Generation Aircraft.
The museum is housed in an historic B-29 hangar at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport. Displays and aircraft range from World War 1 through the Vietnam era.
