The World is Fun is growing and we are looking for awesome people, just like you, to join our volunteer staff. Team: Events
What It Is: An opportunity to be active in the execution of events and gain experience in event planning, production, fundraising, and sponsorship. This 12-week internship includes a variety of event experiences from small 30 person events to large-scale festivals.
This is an unpaid, hands-on, skill-building internship.The ideal candidate would be currently enrolled in a college or university seeking credit only. Acceptable majors include (but are not limited to): Communications, Marketing, Business, Hospitality and Event Management. All applicants must be 21. Candidates should display strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as ingenuity and an eagerness to learn.
What You'll Do
* Learn as you work on production of fundraising events for The World is Fun
* Recruit sponsors for events
* Secure contracts with event vendors
What You'll Have
* The ability to act quickly and think on your feet
* An eye for detail and not missing a thing
* A desire to build relationships to ensure an event’s success
* The desire to learn and have a hands-on active internship
* An excellent communicator
Time Commitment This is a 12-week skill building internship at 24 hours per week. Start and end dates will be determined based on applicant’s availability.

We seek to banish the ol’ bake sale stereotype and get you excited about giving back to your community by broadening the scope of volunteerism and revamping existing charitable programs. Our mission is to remind you that volunteering is not a chore - it makes the world fun!
TWIF works within Seattle communities to create new opportunities for people to give back in a way that is social and philanthropic. We connect people to volunteer activities that fit each individual’s interests, passions, and busy schedules while introducing them to a new network of friends.
