******Special request: Searching for multi-lingual volunteers (Spanish, Cantonese preferred)!

We know that everyone has a unique life story that’s worth sharing. My Life, My Stories is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in San Francisco committed to ending isolation and loneliness among seniors. We help record authors’ most important times in their lives for loved ones to enjoy for years and years to come.

We recently secured an exciting partnership with the San Francisco Public Library! Volunteers are needed to man an MLMS booth at the SFPL main branch to meet with seniors. Seniors will be stopping by to have their life stories recorded through oral conversations. We simply need volunteers to meet with and talk to seniors! No equipment or training necessary other than an open mind and open ears.

Recordings captured at these sessions will eventually be transcribed by MLMS staff to create hardcover memoirs for seniors.

We hope that seniors can come more than one time in order to capture as many stories as possible and it would be preferred to have the same volunteers come consistently for all dates to form relationships with the seniors. If you're only available to help one or two sessions, that is okay too!

The booth will be open from 10:30am-12:30pm on the following days:
